You Do Not Have To Carry It

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7

I received a revelation recently, that whatever is supposed to go with you on the journey that God has created, he will make sure it gets there; there is no need to carry it “to make sure” it gets there.

What are you carrying right now by choice? Out of fear? Or out of distrust in the Lord?

As I walk on this journey, I have realized the further you go, the more unpleasant the scenery becomes, the sweet melody fades, and the work gets more complex. Why? Because God is shifting us outside of our “comfortable space.”

A comfortable space is not always a safe space; safety is wherever the King is. Not where you feel the most comfortable.

Personally, it is uncomfortable for me to rely solely on God for my needs, and for what is best for me. I even asked God, if I feel comfortable; then why can’t I stay? I told him that I feel comfortable in this broken place. I feel comfortable in this fearful territory. Furthermore, I feel comfortable without you, because at least it’s familiar. I know that sounds harsh, especially when talking to God, but honesty is the best policy with our Father, it is where he meets us.

Thank God he doesn’t respond to our foolishness. To think I could live a “safe” life without the Father is foolish. There is safety in purpose, and as we take the journey to purpose, we try to carry things we do not need. If God gives you a slingshot, hold that, not the heavy bookbag full of “just-in-cases,” not the heaviness of overthinking, or the constant worrying of “ifs.” Uproot the enemy’s lies and know you do not have to carry it. Do not carry toxicity, fear, lies, or the plan. It is God’s anyway. Whatever you need, God will make sure it gets there. Cast your cares on him and watch him take them away!
